SUCCESS STORY
A Alüminyum Website
We moved the bilingual catalogue of aluminium profile manufacturer A Alüminyum from WordPress to Astro with its new design; the weight calculator was rebuilt and the old addresses were kept.
DRAWING 02 · DRAWING NOTES
From need to result.
The project in four lines: what was needed, what we did, which systems we built and what came out of it.
01THE CHALLENGE
The 451-profile catalogue on WooCommerce and Elementor had to move to a faster structure, fixing bugs such as code showing as text on product pages while keeping its technical drawing PDFs and about 1,160 addresses.
02THE SOLUTION
- Moving the WordPress site (WooCommerce, Elementor, TranslatePress) to Astro; about 1,160 Turkish and English addresses and the old sitemap name kept
- 451 profiles in 18 product groups; each profile with an image and downloadable technical drawing, 608 PDFs at their old addresses
- Weight and price calculator for box profile, tube, angle, flat bar, sheet and rod; add several profiles to a list, see the total tonnage and request a quote with the list in one click
- Site search by profile code; a section showcase on the homepage
- Page descriptions and structured data the old site did not have
- Published on Cloudflare; the domain moved to Cloudflare while e-mail stayed with the existing provider
03SYSTEMS USED
04OUTCOME
- Buyers calculate profile weights and request a quote with the list
- Technical drawings are downloaded from the product page
- Old WordPress addresses open on the new site
